Here are more of my experiments of woodcut printing on different textiles! 🖤

I have leather and suede, linen and felt! 🌿

I so loved these and I'm so curious to see what and if they'll turn into anything! 👀

Until then I am thinking I might print these small woodcut blocks and include them for free with orders? That is when my drawer of misprints finally runs out, if ever! 🙌🏻

Coming back from a week away has been pretty eventful, and I have had soooo much admin to do! 😅

Hopefully all out of the way now and I'll be able to make some new prints next week! 🤞🏻

Here are my recent experiments of printing on felt from woodblocks on my @ironbridgeprintmakers printing press! 🖤

This project has meant so much to me, in the hurried moments between all the other activities surrounding being a full time artist! 🙌🏻

It allowed me to experiment freely while also feeling like I am contributing towards my business in a way, removing that barrier of feeling like you can never make time to just play! 🌿

This time I printed on felt at the encouragement of my collaborating partner @mandynash! 👀

I was blown away by the result, and while I don't know what this will turn into, I loved the experiment, and the objects it created!

Here I am back from a little break and short holiday talking about linocut tools again! 🖤

This time I am chatting about rollers and brayers I love to use for my lino and other relief prints! 🌿

Abig rollers are definitely my most used and my no. 1 recommendation for beginners! I have them all around my studio and use them all the time, can't beat their quality at that price point! 👌🏻

I have also written a blog about this with more detail, and links to my favourites, and they are also linked in my bio! (They are all affiliate links so if you get your printmaking equipment that way you are also supporting my work!) 🙌🏻

Nothing gets me more excited about making my next print than my lovely tools, I sure love talking about them! 🌷

I finally experimented with the small woodblocks I had been carving, trying to turn them into a potential repeat pattern design! 🌿👀

I loved how these printed, and even though eventually I am picturing them on textiles they also make for a lovely woodcut print! 🖤

They are all also still inspired by the Crossing Crafts project through the @societyofdesignercraftsmen_sdc, I don't know that I would have so bravely experimented with this had I not been paired with a textile maker (@mandynash) in this collaborative project! 🌷

Anyway it was a fun way to play and I am excited to keep experimenting with repeat patterns! 🙌🏻

Still so in love with it, and I know I've yet to tell you the full story and symbolism behind it, but I am editing a longer making of reel where I tell the story and it's taken a while! 🙈

I also love this @cranfieldcolours Powder Blue ink, have been using it so much! 🙌🏻

I had so much fun with it I really want to carry on with this series imagining my cat's past lives! 🐈‍⬛

It's so funny how half the time I see her as some wise and inteligent being from beyond, and other times as just a feral silly creature! 🌿

I have become the ultimate cat person since having her! Any other cat people around? 👀
